Why We Love Carpets

05 Apr 2021

When it comes to changing our flooring many of us will look at the latest trends and how they can suit our homes. But many people will forget about the classic carpet attraction. So here’s a few reasons that we love carpets.

Stylish Designs

Gone are the days of repeat patterns that you would see on the carpet in an old pub. And in comes the introduction of more modern carpets. Whether that includes newer bold prints, stylish strips or the classic one colour carpet.
With carpets now available in a range of colours, and even some with glitter, you can find the right colour and shade to suit any room, so why not colour match?

Underfoot Comfort

Many of us enjoy walking around our homes with bare feet. After all, it’s your own space, so why wouldn’t you. And when it comes to winter or the cooler months, walking on tiles, laminate or vinyl might have your feet feeling a little chilly. Swapping these out for a carpet can help you to enjoy that barefoot feeling more than you realised!
In the summer, you will also find that your carpet does not get too warm underfoot, making it a good flooring all year round.

Child Safe

If you are a parent, you will know the fear that comes with toddlers falling over. Whether they are inside or outside, falling over is a big part of what they do. And while you might not be able to change the surface of the pavements outside, you can change your internal flooring.
When it comes to learning to walk, or bumping around the home as you find your little legs, you might find yourself spending more time on the floor. So why not treat those little knees to a plush carpet. Having a carpet down will help to reduce the bumps and bruises that will inevitably happen. It can also make it more comfortable for you as a parent when you join them on the floor for playtime, after all, who wants to sit on a laminate floor for long periods of time?

Conservatory Carpets

If you have a conservatory attached to your home, you might already know that in the winter this space can be somewhat chilly. So why not swap out any cold or hard flooring that you might have for a nice hardwearing carpet. Depending on how you use the space, with many people opting for a sitting room, or dining room as the main use, a carpet can be suitable no matter what the weather outside is.
